The Grenensporet consists of over 30 km of hiking trails, of which the shortest of approx. 3 km are paved with gravel. The other trails consist of a route out to Grenen, one around Skagen Odde and one that passes all of Skagen's lighthouses.

When the Grenensporet opened in 2015, it was like newly created hiking trails with bridges over wetlands, produced from recycled sustainable materials. The majority of the paths are so-called tramp paths, with the exception of Grenensporet Grøn. The footpaths are simple routes in the landscape, created for people and animals who have trampled the vegetation over time. On the paths there are boards with information in Danish, English and German. If, on the other hand, you would like to take the stories with you, Grenensporet's stories are now also available online.

What the routes have in common is that they all tell a unique and significant part of Grenen's history. Whether it is the nature and wildlife or the man-made elements that we see in the landscape, they are all part of the story of Grenen and its significance, both for the past, the present and the future.

Each of the four routes has its own theme and highlights, which reflect the stories you can experience on the trip. On the Grenensporet there is a route for everyone, regardless of age and mobility.

Grenensporet Green – The little gentle one

The route starts at the Grenen car park and takes you past Skagen's most expensive summer house and the duck lake. There is a gravel surface so that wheelchair users and families with prams can also experience Grenen's unique nature.

Grenensporet Yellow – Grenen, a true natural gem

The route starts at the Grenen car park and takes you past the viewing platform on the old radar bunker, past Drachmann's grave and all the way out to Grenen, where the two lakes meet. On the trip, there is a good chance of meeting seals on the beach, but keep a good distance so that you all have a good experience at Grenen.

Grenensporet Blue – On land, on water and in the air

The route starts at Grenen parking lot and takes you past Jennes lake, the Air Control Wing radar station, the rescue station, Skagen Odde Nature Center, across the moorland landscape and finally passes Det Grå Fyr and Skagen Bunker Museum.

Grenensporet Red – Fire and flame

The route starts at the Grenen car park and takes you past all of Skagen's lighthouses, with the exception of Højen Fyr, which was blown up in 1976. In addition to the lighthouses, the route passes i.a. Denmark's northernmost point, the beautiful heath landscape, the Air Control Wing radar station, the rescue house, the Skagen Odde Nature Center and rounding off at the Skagen Bunker Museum.
