Golf White Dunes

When you want to play golf on your holiday in Skagen, you should go to Golfklubben Hvide Klit. Play the 18 holes in the beautiful dune landscape that weaves through nature. There is also a pay and play course where membership is not required.  

The course, located in Bunken Klitplantage, close to Råbjerg Mile and Kattegat and only 17 km south of Skagen, is a so-called 'Heathland' golf course. This means in Danish that it is located in a sandy plantation area with lots of Scots pine and large (sandy) areas of heather, which both flank the fairways and create a nice contrast to the green areas.

The course is relatively flat and on some holes also relatively open. It can easily be walked around, and the sandy soil conditions mean that the course can be played most of the year.

The layout is recognized as being extremely exciting and among the best in the kingdom. Many of the holes are of the highest difficulty. The fairways are narrow and beautifully framed by dunes with wild-growing marram grass.

Over the past few years, the golf course has undergone major changes. Not only in terms of layout, but also in condition and quality. Hvide Klit has been lifted and improved, so that today it shines over the North Jutland landscape.

Today, the fairways, greens and bunkers are worthy of a championship course and of such high quality that the course has been called one of Denmark's best.
