Tversted Å is located approximately 15 km outside the town of Hirtshals, and is a really cozy one of a kind.

Between the town of Tversted and the North Sea lies Tversted River. The river runs through a beautiful dune landscape and flows out at Tannis Bay. Along the banks of the river grow alder trees and dense thickets of sea buckthorn, elder and hawthorn.

The river is close to the city and coast, and there is therefore ample opportunity to explore the special area and explore the many opportunities that Tversted offers.

If you love nature and similar areas like Tversted Å, there are other nearby opportunities to explore nature. Close to the area Tversted Klitplantage, Uggerby Plantation, Uggerby River where it is possible to rent canoes during the summer months Uggerby Canoeing.

The entire area invites you to take a walk in the countryside and enjoy the rich plant and bird life that lives by Tversted Å. This makes the entire area on the West Coast a fantastic place to experience birds, and in spring and autumn there are good chances of experiencing the natural phenomenon of the Black Sun.

Fishing is currently prohibited in Tversted Å.
