The sand worm

Drive the Sandworm out to the tip of Grenen.

The Sandworm takes you on a journey to the tip of the branch, the top of Denmark, where the North Sea and the Kattegat meet. An exciting, eventful and inspiring trip, where you can get information about the changing coastline and the diversity of nature.

The idea for the Sandormen, which was to transport people to the tip of Grenen, dates back to the late 40s. At that time, rubble was brought from Grenen for the many construction projects that had begun after the war.

The story goes that during the drive on Grenen, many visitors asked for a lift with the vehicles used to pick up the pallet. A bright mind thought: "Why not make this a business where you can earn a penny".

The first vehicles were very primitive and the benches in the wagons were borrowed from the mission house.
