In Skagen, fishing from the piers is very popular and there is a large selection of piers to choose from.

The sea around Skagen supplies edible fish to large parts of Northern Europe – there could be one for you too if you bring your fishing rod with you on holiday.

In Skagen and Aalbæk you can fish from the piers.

After the expansion of Skagen Port, the opportunities here have greatly improved.

It is also possible to fish directly from the beach in both the Skagerrak and Kattegat. On the Skagerrak side, the water quickly becomes deep, and the fish search close to the shore for food. On the Kattegat coast, it can be advantageous to wade out a bit. In both places there is a chance of sea trout.

See map of options at Skagen Port.

Remember the legally required fishing license that is purchased www.fisketegn.dk.

Fishing opportunities: cod, plaice, herring, garfish and mackerel depending on the season.
