Cycle tour: Kingdom of birds of prey - 38 km

If you want to get up close to wild nature, you should swing in the saddle and ride through the Kingdom of Birds of Prey – full of open dune landscapes and green plantations.

During the entire bike ride, and especially over the dunes, remember to look up at the sky. You may be lucky enough to spot a golden eagle, white-tailed eagle or buzzard, which are some of Denmark's most fascinating birds of prey. Skagen is one of the best migration sites for birds of prey in Europe. On a spring day you can see up to 20 different species. 

On the cycle route you can experience Denmark's largest moving dune "Rabjerg Mile" and Gårdbo Sø, which is also called "the green lake". 

The route can be started anywhere, but it is planned that you cycle counterclockwise so that you cycle between the trees, sheltered from the west wind, for part of the time. The route runs on asphalt, forest roads and field paths. Please note that there are not many shopping opportunities on the route, so you should be prepared from home.
