Payment conditions for camp schools

Terms of payment

As soon as possible after receipt of the order, we will forward Skagen Strand an order confirmation with payment advice. The order is binding for the customer when the amount has been paid and for Skagen Strand when the amount is received.

Payment
No later than 10 days after receiving the confirmation, a 25% deposit is paid. The final installment of 75% is paid no later than 6 weeks before arrival. If the 1st installment is not paid on time, Skagen Strand entitled to cancel the stay. If the 2nd installment is not paid on time, Skagen Strand entitled to cancel the stay, and the 1st installment will not be refunded.

For stays with a value of less than DKK 5.000, the amount must be paid no later than 10 days after receipt of order confirmation. If payment is not made on time, Skagen Strand entitled to cancel the stay.

Right of Cancellation
When you book a stay with any additional purchases, such as activities and catering for a specific date or period, the agreement cannot be cancelled.

Cancellation
Cancellation or change of arrival date is free up to 8 weeks before arrival.

In case of cancellation later than 8 weeks before arrival, 50% of the rental amount is paid and possibly catering.

In case of cancellation later than 14 days before arrival, 100% of the rental amount and any catering.

Changes
For changes to bookings, a processing fee of DKK is paid. 100.

Changes that result in the postponement of an agreed period or changes that are made less than 14 days before arrival are to be regarded as cancellation and a new order.

Skagen Strands cancellation of the stay
The stay can be Skagen Strand is cancelled due to force majeure (disaster, strike, riots, acts of war, pandemics, epidemics or similar), in which case Skagen Strand is obliged to notify the school as soon as possible. The school is not entitled to any compensation.

General terms and conditions

The price of the stay includes the following free use of the holiday home and its equipment during the stay and final cleaning on departure.

Arrival and departure
Arrival can take place from 15.00 p.m

In case of late arrival, an envelope will be placed in the hotel windbreak with name, keys and practical information.

Departure must take place no later than 10.30 am

In connection with departure, Skagen Strand together with the responsible teacher for the camp school, inspect the camp school's houses. This is to avoid any additional cleaning costs. This inspection forms the basis for any compensation claims and additional costs from Skagen Strand.

If you wish to depart outside the reception's opening hours, please contact the reception the day before departure during its opening hours, with a view to settlement.

If you leave without settlement or review, an invoice will be sent with a processing fee of DKK. 250,-

Extra services
Bed linen must be used and bed linen and towels can be brought or rented.

Cleaning
Daily cleaning is the responsibility of the camp school itself. Cleaning supplies are available in the apartment. For an additional fee, daily cleaning can be ordered.

Final cleaning is included in the price and assumes that the holiday home is left in a tidy condition. This means that the following must be done before departure:

  • The dishwasher is emptied and clean crockery is left in the correct place in the cupboards
  • Furniture and other fixtures are placed in the correct place in the home and garden furniture is put in place 
  • Oven, microwave and refrigerator need to be cleaned
  • Floors must be vacuumed
  • Bottles and waste are handed over in the waste containers
  • Rented linen is collected in the pillowcase and placed in the entrance hall. The white protective covers must remain on the beds
  • Close doors and windows and leave the home in a tidy condition

Smoking
Please note that all indoor common areas and apartments are non-smoking. This also applies to electronic cigarettes. If we find that there has been smoking in the holiday home, this will be invoiced with DKK. 2.500.

Camp school's responsibilities
Camp school participants are obliged to respect the rules and regulations that apply to the holiday centre. The school is fully liable for the furnishings of the holiday home. Defects and damage caused by the camp school are pointed out during the inspection and settled upon departure. The school that has booked the stay is liable for any damage caused to the holiday home during the stay.

The holiday home may be occupied by a maximum of the number of people stated in the price list.

Complaints
Any complaints must be made at the reception as soon as possible.

Warranty
The rules of the Danish Sales Act apply to purchases of goods, but not to services. This means that you do not have a 2-year right of complaint.
